"If by romanticism one means the free manifestation of my personal impulses, distancing myself from the rules set in schools, and my distaste for the recipes of the academy, I must confess that not only am I a romantic, I was from the age of 15." -Eugène Delacroix

About Me: Visual Art

Since childhood, I have always been interested in the arts. My time was spent drawing and painting, observing and interpreting my thoughts and the world around me. My introverted nature made this highly enjoyable, since I was more drawn to observing rather than interacting. How I expressed something through art, abstract or natural, was the business of no one but myself. Feeling that I was free of judgement was very comforting, and still is.

I've strayed from art over the years, but it remains something dear to me. I feel that it's a large part of my identity. Despite always feeling busy with schoolwork, I still find the time to draw and paint. I find myself scribbling down ideas and sketches, eager to get home and translate it onto a canvas.

(insert some of my work?)
